22 Aug 10 The Flaming Lips ate here on Friday evening during the green man festival, and came back to "do it all over again" on the Saturday! Really nice bunch of people and their show on the Saturday evening at the festival was amazing!!
22 July 10 We have been getting some lovely lobster in recently and making lobster ravioli with homemade saffron pasta, there's been lobster, scallop and crayfish thermidor and lots of lobster bisque! Thanks to everyone for the great comments and especially to those who are following us on facebook and commenting on there!

28 Apr 10 Below, from the new lunchtime menu, is our fish platter with all home smoked fish - red mullet, haddock and salmon - a potted mackerel pate, soused vegetables, cocktail remoulade, caesar dressing and homemade crusty bread - just need some more sunshine!!

25 Mar 10 Just to let you know that we were on tv last night on the Antiques Road Trip. Great shot of them arriving and at least 10mins of video footage in the bar and lounge whilst they were chatting about their antique purchases! Did have the link to the BBC iPlayer but it has now expired!

05 Jan 10 We have had an abundance of good quality local game delivered so we now have a game pie with parsnip mash and roasted root vegetables on the lunch menu. Gary is making a venison terrine and Andy's salt beef has been taken out the brine and cooked which will be on the new lunch menu and being included in the Times deal starting next week!

09 Dec 09 Andy has just oak smoked our first lot of duck breasts which are going to be served sliced warm on a salad of baby figs and a mulled wine syrup
We have just got some local pheasant in and that has gone up on the specials board to be served with roasted root vegetables, game chips and a thyme jus
